Sara is an experienced litigator who represents clients in high-stakes complex litigation.

She works with clients through every stage of litigation, from preliminary negotiations to trials and appeals on a wide variety of disputes, including business and public-policy disputes.

Sara has frequently collaborated with bankruptcy colleagues on financial restructuring matters, including appearing on behalf of trustees and debtors in contested matters and adversary proceedings involving fraudulent transfer claims and alleged breaches of fiduciary duties.

In addition to work on behalf of her clients, Sara has demonstrated a strong commitment to her community and providing pro bono legal services. In January 2021, her work with the Innocence Project secured the release of Rosa Jimenez, an Austin, Texas, woman who served nearly two decades in prison after a wrongful murder conviction. Sara is also the immediate-past president and a longtime board member of Youth180, Inc., one of the few licensed adolescent outpatient treatment centers in Dallas providing trauma-responsive counseling, prevention, intervention and education services to youth and their families.
